Your child's first steps into football

LITTLE STARS: Age 1½ to 2½.

Structured play introduces your child to football fundamentals while accelerating their physical, cognitive and social development.

Weekly Saturday morning classes 9.30-10.10am

The Barlow RC High School, Parrs Wood Road, Didsbury, Manchester M20 6BX.

The sessions

At this age group we get you actively involved in the classes to support your own child’s engagement. This makes your child feel secure and helps them to stay focused. We start every session with the same warm up games and, as their confidence grows, they can play independently of you – we play games that encourage this.

Learning outcomes

While they're having fun, they're learning...

  • To listen to and follow familiar routines.
  • To feel secure and happy in the classes.
  • To know colours, numbers and the names of different body parts.
  • To do all kinds of movement - running, jumping, hopping, balancing.
  • To enjoy kicking the ball and scoring.

While in this age group, they work towards Little Star Awards for their new skills, with and without a ball.

We have classes for children of different age groups too. Take a look at our other groups
